Why not just hire an in-house designer?

A mid-level in-house designer costs $6,000–7,500 a month once you add benefits, software and taxes — and takes months to hire and ramp up. And you still have to direct them: decide what to make, brief it, review it. That's a second job. The retainer costs about half of one hire and includes the part you can't hire at this price — the direction.

What if I've been burned by designers before?

That's exactly why the foundation exists. Everything gets decided once and written down — so the work doesn't live in anyone's head, including mine. You own every document, and the portal shows progress at every stage. No black box.

How much of my time does this take?

Foundation month: about two hours a week, in two short sessions. On retainer: one direction review per month plus consolidated feedback. The whole point is giving you your calendar back.

What if I just need content, not strategy?

Then we're probably not the right fit — and that's fine. Volume subscriptions do that well and cheaper. We take on brands that want the content to finally mean something.

How do revisions work?

Every deliverable includes two rounds. One active workstream at a time, finished properly, then the next. It's what keeps quality high and delivery predictable.

What do I actually own?

Everything approved and paid for: source files, final assets, brand documentation. If we ever part ways, you get a complete organized handover. No hostage files, ever.
